Nathaniel Nyika

Nathaniel is the Chief Investment Officer at Agaciro Development Fund (AgDF), Rwanda's sovereign wealth fund. Prior to joining Agaciro, he was the Chief Investment Officer at Norsad Capital, a Botswana-domiciled regional impact investor and private credit provider, specialising in structured debt solutions to companies across Southern and Eastern Africa.

He brings over 25 years of investment experience of transacting across Sub-Saharan African markets including the key African markets — Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa — as well as multiple frontier markets. His experience spans private equity, private debt and credit (including structured debt and mezzanine), investment banking, hedge fund management and listed securities research and trading. He has covered a wide range of sectors including financial services (banking and NBFIs), infrastructure (IPPs, digital and soft infrastructure, including education and healthcare), the food value chain, industrials and manufacturing, affordable housing and hospitality. His investment approach is grounded in impact investing, with a focus on delivering sustainable financial returns alongside measurable developmental outcomes.

Nathaniel holds a Master's in Business Administration (cum laude) from the University of Witwatersrand, Wits Business School and a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering. He studied Executive Leadership at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and is a Certified Business Rescue Analyst (CRA).
